How to Flag an Error
If you believe any information published on france2030.ai is inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or otherwise in error, we want to know. Send details to:
Please include:
- The URL of the page where the error appears.
- A short description of what you believe is wrong.
- Where possible, a source we can use to verify the correct information — an official publication, a regulated filing, a primary document.
- Your name and affiliation if you are happy to share them (optional; corrections are acted on regardless of who reports them).
We read every correction request. We reply to every correction request that results in a change to the site.
How Corrections Are Handled
- Triage. A member of the Intelligence Desk reviews each report within two working days.
- Verification. If the report identifies a factual error, we verify the correct information against primary sources before editing.
- Correction. The page is edited to state the correct information.
- Disclosure. A dated correction note is appended to the bottom of the affected page, briefly describing what was changed and why. Where an error materially affected the page’s analysis or conclusions, the note is placed at the top.
- Reply. We reply to the person who flagged the error, noting what was changed.
What Counts as a Material Correction
We treat corrections as material when they change a fact that a reader might reasonably rely on. This includes but is not limited to:
- Funding amounts, competition outcomes, company beneficiary names.
- Attribution of a quote, decision, or action.
- Dates of events, deadlines, or policy announcements.
- Quantitative data (headcount, revenue, budget allocation, progress against targets).
- Identification of a person’s role or affiliation.
Typographical errors, formatting fixes, and minor copy-edits are made without a correction note.
What Counts as a Retraction
Where an article contains an error so central that the remainder of the piece cannot stand, we retract. A retracted page is replaced by a short notice stating that the original was retracted, when, and why. The retracted text is not restored. Where retraction is the result of a complaint, the complainant is informed.
Request for Right of Reply
Subjects of our coverage — companies, institutions, officials — who believe they have been inaccurately or unfairly characterised are invited to submit a statement for publication. We consider every such request. Where the Intelligence Desk agrees the original coverage was inaccurate, we correct it. Where we stand by the reporting but the subject wishes to state their view, we publish a clearly-marked reply alongside the original.
